    Otto is a conservation specialist architect with extensive experience in historical research, building fabric restoration, adaptive reuse and conservation and management of culturally significant places. He has been in practice for over 40 years, and the managing director of OCP Architects Pty Ltd since 1982.

  • PEJMAN MAHABADI

    SENIOR CONSERVATION ARCHITECT & HERITAGE CONSULTANT. NSW REGISTRATION NUMBER 11271

    Pejman Mahabadi is a conservation architect with over 15 years of experience. He specialises in historical research, archival investigation, building analysis, and the preparation of technical heritage reports, including HIAs, CMPs, and Statements of Heritage Significance. His expertise includes material conservation, adaptive reuse, and the application of heritage policy across culturally significant sites.

    Pejman also brings strong project management skills, with experience in architectural documentation for remedial works and problem-solving within complex heritage settings. He coordinates subconsultants and liaises with authorities, clients, and stakeholders to support efficient project delivery and approvals.

  • MILENA CRAWFORD

    SENIOR CONSERVATION SPECIALIST

    Milena has wide-ranging experience in heritage and conservation. Her professional experience includes work for the Heritage Group, Government Architect’s Office and the State Institute for Restoration of Historic Buildings in Prague.

    Milena has specialist knowledge in the maintenance and restoration of sandstone buildings. This knowledge has been integral in the successful appraisal and conservation of multiple historic sandstone projects that OCP has completed in recent years.

    Rowan is a historian with extensive experience in researching, writing, and teaching history. With a particular focus on assessing heritage significance and mitigating heritage impacts, his contribution to numerous OCP projects has been substantial.

  • SARAH MANNION

    SENIOR CONSERVATION SPECIALIST AND WRITER. BARCH, PROFDIP(ARCH), MRIAI. RIAI REGISTRATION NO. 21002

    Sarah Mannion is a conservation specialist at OCP Architects. She is a registered architect in the Republic of Ireland with the national registration body, The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI). She is also Accredited in Conservation at Grade 3 in Ireland. She has experience practising architecture in both Sydney and Ireland.

    Sarah has also held a number of research, academic and design roles. She is strongly engaged in the academic aspect of architecture, including research, writing, conferences and publications. She has supervised 5th year architecture students’ written thesis work in the University of Limerick in Ireland, and has also acted on the jury for the RIAI / Architecture Ireland Student Writing Prize.

    Garry has a broad range of experience spanning 40 years. He has worked in Australia, Great Britain and America in building types ranging from commercial, residential, educational, community and public buildings as well as major adaptive reuse and conservation projects.

    With a strong understanding of building construction and delivery, environmentally sustainable design principles and value engineering, Garry provides added value to all projects through his extensive experience.

    Clarasya is currently studying Master of Architecture. Throughout her time at OCP Architects, she has cultivated a skill set focusing on the architectural documentation and assessment of heritage buildings. She is proficient in measured drawings, CAD documentation, construction detailing, concept design, and graphics. Her interest in conservation projects underscores a commitment to preserving the integrity of heritage buildings.

    HERITAGE CONSULTANT AND DESIGNER

    ‍ Mateus is an accomplished Architectural Graduate boasting a rich three-year tenure in public projects. His expertise is focused in the domains of architectural heritage projects and urban design, where he has made significant contributions across all phases of the design process. This spans from meticulous historical research and initial design conceptualisation to the ultimate stages of project delivery and comprehensive documentation

  • MONTY RAVENSCROFT

    HERITAGE CONSULTANT AND DESIGNER

    Montgomery’s interest in heritage architecture is grounded in an appreciation of traditional design philosophies and construction methods. Since graduating, he has undertaken studies and developed designs through measured drawing by hand and watercolour, alongside attending classes at the Julian Ashton Art School.

    At OCP Architects, Montgomery assists in architectural design and documentation for heritage projects. He is proficient in measured drawings, CAD documentation, construction detailing, concept design, and graphics, with a strong commitment to the conservation of heritage buildings.

  • EMMA BALOGH-CARISTO

    HERITAGE CONSULTANT AND DESIGNER

    Emma’s interest in art, design, and history has led her to pursue a career in heritage architecture. She is particularly drawn to the storytelling nature of historic buildings and how they reflect layers of cultural, social, and architectural evolution.

    While completing her Master of Architecture, Emma participated in a travelling studio to Berlin, gaining insight into the importance of preserving historic fabric while exploring opportunities for adaptive reuse. This experience reinforced her belief that heritage architecture is not only about conservation, but also sustaining the narratives embodied within historic places.
