The Stables Building is a very significant 1895 building designed by John Sulman. It is influenced by English rural architecture and is located in the landscaped grounds of the Dame Eadith Walker Estate, also known as ‘Yaralla.’ The condition of the building had deteriorated considerably with extensive termite damage to much of the fabric and structure. OCP Architects were engaged to investigate and document all required conservation and remedial repairs works as well as coordinate the structural, electrical and hydraulic engineering consultants. The works also involved the refurbishment of the two residential flats it a more sympathetic design of the interior.
